Stamps for Commonwealth Games show inclusivity and equality

Charis Tsevis designed eight special stamps for Commonwealth Games

The Commonwealth Games is known for encouraging athletes to compete in a spirit of camaraderie and fair play.

What makes this year’s @birminghamcg22 extra-special is that disability sports are now fully integrated into the games and, for the first time, the women’s medal events exceed the men’s 🏆.

In order to convey the optimistic spirit of inclusiveness and equality of the games, Greek artist @tsevis was entrusted by Royal Mail’s agency, @interabanguk to design eight special stamps. ✉️

The stamps were created in a neo-futuristic and mosaic style. A vivid color palette with geometric illustrations is used to reflect the energy and passion of the Games. The athletes pictured in these stamps are predominantly female and disabled. 🏃‍♀️

We think this series of stamps is a perfect blend of aesthetics as well as the cohesiveness of the sport 💚.
